The star studded Argentine squad is expected to go a long way in this summer's FIFA World Cup.
And why not? When you have Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain as your front men, you're sure to be a menace to almost any defence.
This year, Alejandro Sabella's arrival as manager has stabilized an erratic but hugely talented team which lost its way a little under Diego Maradona and the Albiceleste will be quite confident going into this season's tournament.
Lionel Messi is considered to be one of the best, if not the best player in the world. Aguero has scored almost every time he has featured for Manchester City this season, and Gonzalo Higuain has also been prolific under Rafael Benetiz.
Among the reserves are Ezequiel Lavezzi and Rodrigo Palacio, both of whom are also extremely reliable and will be hoping to impress coach Alejandro Sabella before the tournament.

The Midfield
The 3 midfielders most likely to start will be Javier Mascherano, Fernando Gago and Real's Angel Di Maria.
Di Maria has had a very successful season with Real Madrid, and was named the Man of the Match for the Champions League final in Lisbon.
Even though he starts as a left midfielder, he usually ends up almost as the fourth striker on the left flank.
Javier Mascherano provides some much needed defensive stability and Fernando Gago is the instigator of many of his teams attacks with his vision and range of passing.
Since Gago is suffering from a knee injury, Ever Banega of Newell's old boys is likely to replace him if he doesn't get back in time.

The Defence
Argentina's weakest area would certainly be their defence. A clash with either Portugal or Germany(Not again!) in the round of 16 will certainly test the back four.
While young left back Marcus Rojo is the most obvious liability, Napoli centre back Frederico Fernandez is also a dicey customer.
Their best defender without a doubt would be Pablo Zabaleta and both he and Benfica's Ezequiel Garay will be expected to cover up for their less experienced team-mates.
27 year old Sergio Romero will be the man between the sticks, even though he has spent most of his time on the bench this season for Monaco.
Argentina will be expected to play a 4-3-3 formation, as shown below.
Argentina have loads of talent at their disposal, and play entertaining football. Effectively playing a 4-2-4 formation, their matches are bound to be open and exciting.
For me, they, not Spain, are favourites to win, after Brazil.
Though they have the ability to score at will, Lionel Messi's form and the stability of their defence will decide their fate.
